News these past days has been pretty slow going! But it gives me great pleasure to be writing an article on a fairly new challenge thought up by thesims2.com's very own Yamx. This challenge is called the Nickel and Dimed challenge.
The Nickel and Dimed challenge by Yamx was inspired by a book entitled Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich. The challenge is to balance the life of an unskilled mother struggling to get by for herself and her kids. In this challenge, you create a single mother with two kids. The mother is not allowed to gain more then one skill in anything. They family must live in a small home provided by Yamx. This Challenge has been stickied on the BBS!
The restrictions make Nickel and Dimed a very challenging task but it's just all the more fun. I myself started this challenge and am enjoying it thoroughly. You will find my story on it up as soon as I finish. This challenge is very well thought out and nicely put together. The restrictions make it a realistic thing and while it may be a little difficult for some, it's a very fun challenge to par-take in.
